Gives preference to a still life. Ekaterina Tatyanina easily transfers fragility of a flower, elasticity of stalks and herbs in the works, recreating "quiet life" of meadows and fields. Usual field plants are written by the artist with the same attention, as effective inflorescences of cultivated flowers. Accurate and clear lines in the foreground easily depict silhouettes, allocating in them everything the most characteristic but then as if are dissolved and take away a look in depth, allowing to feel distance. These qualities reveal and in E. Tatyanina's landscapes in which she easily copes with problems of transfer of space, filling the cloths with air and light.
In Ekaterina's works the vital beginning filled with the poetry and force radiated in the flowers is notable. Their inflorescences, pulsing, extend round themselves color reflexes. The equipment of a water color answers features of talent of E. Tatyanina. In the width of the movement of a brush, in a free overflowing of spots - an essence of its improvisational manner. The artist shows us only a world particle, but also it is enough this fragment to reach a complete image. The plein-air beginnings of works of Ekaterina Tatyanina result from a priority of emotional perception of chamber natural motive, convincing data of the color relations to natural harmony of the nature. E. Tatyanina works much in equipment of an etching. It executed illustrations to the collection of verses of V. V. Russkova (1998). Etchings are interesting by various composite decisions, richness of shades and elegance of lines. They report to creative shape of E. Tatyanina necessary completeness.
